The Dutch Dominie of the Catskills, a work of historical fiction, was written by the Rev. Doctor David Murdoch and published for the first time in 1861. A Hudson Valley story of the Burning of Kingston during the Saratoga campaign.

Condition: dark green boards - corners bumped - lightly soiled - a few minor stains - less than average shelf wear. String bound text block is tight and intact - hinges are very secure. Front endpapers bears undated inscription to L.W. Doty from T.W. Doty and some penciling.Back endpapers have some staining and bear some penciling " Planters Hotel, Louisville 1864". Text is clear and readable with very light foxxing and some minor staining. Overall condition of this book is very good++.
