The use of aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years and is commonly known to holistic healers. Used in ancient times by the Chinese, Egyptian, and Greek cultures, aromatherapy consists of extracting oils from plants for medical and cosmetic use. It is also know that many scents are associated with feelings and even memories. This allows us associate the scent as an active part of the environment and the effect it has on us.
